Hampus Johansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eero Viks. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hampus Johansson ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Mattias Finnman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eero Viks was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 9thth minute of the game Mattias Finnman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Överås IK's Eero Viks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eero Viks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Finnman in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Average Joes getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ciro Innocenzio hit a great ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Karsten Karlsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Average Joes's Linus Svanström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Bergsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Linus Svanström having to interfere. When Average Joes's Hampus Johansson in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Average Joes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ciro Innocenzio charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Innocenzio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Innocenzio to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Hampus Johansson came free, but Eero Viks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hampus Johansson to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Karsten Karlsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Överås IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karsten Karlsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Linus Svanström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karsten Karlsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Linus Svanström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karsten Karlsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Eero Viks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Finnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Linus Svanström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karsten Karlsen went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 76 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Innocenzio. Överås IK made a substitution. Krister Nordin replaced Claes Axelsson. Wictor Hansson hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Överås IK's Eero Viks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hampus Johansson in the 83rd minute of play. Linus Svanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Karlsen in the 85th minute of play. Överås IK's Karsten Karlsen got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Finnman in the 92nd minute of play forced Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Överås IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Hydén to maneuver through the defense. Överås IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
