After a rather tough play, Svartvallstjärnens IF's Henrik Hägert got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Cane in the 15th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chen Ao Fan in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edward Jönsson saved Svartvallstjärnens IF from getting behind. Svartvallstjärnens IF made a substitution. Villiam Marklund replaced Tore Svartström. Henrik Hägert got a throw-in 31 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Villiam Marklund. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Cane in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Göran Cane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A beautiful save bye Skövde AIK's goalie prevented a goal. Edward Jönsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Keegan in the 75th minute. Knut Rudberg charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Skövde AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Erik Norström should have stopped the shot. Kevin Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Edward Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Karlberg in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Kevin Karlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Kevin Karlberg notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström. Karl-Erik Norström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Svartvallstjärnens IF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Skövde AIK for a fine match.
