After 7 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarl Gunnarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calle Målare in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Erik Norström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10th play minutes Calle Målare shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Karl-Erik Norström and just under the crossbar into goal. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Karl-Erik Norström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jarl Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 20th minute of play. Jarl Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Sandberg in the 23rd minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Målare in the 24th minute of play. Jarl Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 25th minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Chen Ao Fan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schmeissen FC's Jarl Gunnarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Sandberg got free with Karl-Erik Norström in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Skövde AIK from getting a goal against them. Karl-Erik Norström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Målare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens Apelkvist made a great header on Schmeissen FC's corner, it was just that Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 43rd minute, Chen Ao Fan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Skövde AIK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chen Ao Fan was the one to do the kick off. Chen Ao Fan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jarl Gunnarsson made a huge save. Chants of Skövde AIK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Schmeissen FC had held the ball for most of the match.
