The Protegéerna fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Protegéerna's Guido Python looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of GrassNuts FC booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Näver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esbjörn Tunander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Protegéerna's Cosme Demesio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabian Fransson in the 23 minute of the game. GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save GrassNuts FC from getting a goal against them. Michael Näver made a great header on Protegéerna's corner, it was just that GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander managed to reach the ball for a save. 34 minutes into the game, Petter Skarkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Esbjörn Tunander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save GrassNuts FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petter Skarkman was the one to do the kick off. Yasen Súlov kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Esbjörn Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Protegéerna were awarded a corner. Michael Näver went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Protegéerna's corner Michael Näver fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Esbjörn Tunander quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Protegéerna booed when GrassNuts FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Protegéerna's Christer Nyberg was substituted for Guido Python. Protegéerna's Jonny Ånger was substituted for Yasen Súlov. The supporters of Protegéerna booed when GrassNuts FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, GrassNuts FC's Vitaliy van der Aa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ingemar Åberg. Ingemar Åberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Petter Skarkman took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Tunander. Esbjörn Tunander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Skarkman in the 71st minute of play. Protegéerna's Bo Låsberg was substituted for Fernando Arango. In the 73rd minute of the match Protegéerna got a corner. GrassNuts FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Näver ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Cosme Demesio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander did a great save. In the 77th minute, Christer Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 80 in the game by Philip Åkerman from a close distance when the talented Ingemar Åberg managed to make a qualified save. Protegéerna's players were relieved. Brian Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ingemar Åberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GrassNuts FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Nyberg in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esbjörn Tunander saved GrassNuts FC from getting behind. GrassNuts FC's Esbjörn Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Skarkman in the 87th minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the game Fabian Fransson made a throw-in which Philip Åkerman played forward. GrassNuts FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
