The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Åbyggeby FK's Uno Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Åbyggeby FK from getting a goal against them. 5 minutes into the match, Åbyggeby FK's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Åström came free, but Uno Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trey Coats charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trey Coats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Åbyggeby FK booed when AC Mayonnaise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trey Coats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Odeen kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. AC Mayonnaise's Ksawery Bondel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Sellberg in the 16th minute of play. Uno Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rimas Ciparis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Mayonnaise were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Åbyggeby FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anfilogino Lazzaro took the corner. With a little luck, Åbyggeby FK's Uno Berg got control of the ball when Fredrik Åström tried to sneak it across the goal line. AC Mayonnaise's Fredrik Åström got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Malcolm Barck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uno Berg made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Fredrik Åström sent off a good shot on target. Uno Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Åström in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Åbyggeby FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Barck to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Fredrik Åström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Uno Berg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Åbyggeby FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anfilogino Lazzaro was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Mayonnaise's players had a chance to rest. Rimas Ciparis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Börge Sefastsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Anfilogino Lazzaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Uno Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Fredrik Åström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Mayonnaise fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 60th match minute, Åbyggeby FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klas Möller to maneuver through the defense. AC Mayonnaise's Simon Clementsson was substituted for Anfilogino Lazzaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rimas Ciparis in the 66th minute of play forced Åbyggeby FK's goalkeeper Uno Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Tharaldsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Åbyggeby FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 84 minutes into the game, AC Mayonnaise's Elias Tharaldsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uno Berg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Åbyggeby FK's Karl-Oskar Pihlgren was substituted for Torbjörn Hökqvist. Uno Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Tharaldsen in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Elias Tharaldsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Mayonnaise fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Mayonnaise fans cheered their team off the field, for while Åbyggeby FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
