The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 12 played minutes AIK FOTBOLL got a freekick which was hit by Mao Hai Zhen. After 17 minutes, Nils Majman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åhus Absolut F.C and the AIK FOTBOLL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Georg Termander charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. AIK FOTBOLL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åhus Absolut F.C the free kick. Sven-Oskar Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Ström in the 41st minute of play. Valdemar Tomasson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Åke Juhlin having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Valdemar Tomasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Åke Juhlin was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honu Ng to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of AIK FOTBOLL booed when Åhus Absolut F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Mellin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Alvin Bergfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Harlén hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Lars Julin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Oskar Andreasson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Åhus Absolut F.C fully deserved thier win.
