But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Lundström couldn't finish the play. Freddie Mattsson made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Göran Unesson sent off a good shot on target. The corner went over the outstretched arms of The Green Fairies's goalie and right to Joar Bergfeldt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. The Green Fairies's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Bratt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Green Fairies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Team Rocco the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Lundström in the 41st minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Alfred Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pål Bratt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Green Fairies walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
