Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Dominik Olchawa came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Siekkötter in the 7th minute of play forced PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goalkeeper Truman Harrington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Fonseca. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Pirani in the 11th minute of play. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Eugen, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Lima in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Truman Harrington got control of the ball when Krisztián Véber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Eugen in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pirani in the 31st minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esen Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Olchawa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Lucio Siekkötter made a precise shot to the right of Truman Harrington. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Leonardo Frazier was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, one of PALMEIRAS-UTAH:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PALMEIRAS-UTAH. The goalkeeper, Truman Harrington, was totally fooled by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Truman Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Vergílio in the 55th minute of play. The throw-in from Dominik Olchawa in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Wellington Fonseca. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after PALMEIRAS-UTAH's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lei Feng Yan took the corner. After taking down the ball on S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's corner Bai Cheng Kang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Truman Harrington quite easily take care of the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lucio Siekkötter got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Aloísio Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joachim Backlund who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Esen Sanal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Vergílio came free, but Truman Harrington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Eugen in the 78th minute of play. Truman Harrington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breno Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Krisztián Véber got a free kick in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandru Eugen in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esen Sanal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of PALMEIRAS-UTAH booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Olchawa in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match PALMEIRAS-UTAH got a corner. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bailey Kerns ran over to the corner to take the kick. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
