After having played for 3 minutes, Christian Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Santista CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ruy Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apat Reina having to interfere. Axel Vennerkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauã Mandrak in the 12th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Belmiro Pontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retumbante FC's Apat Reina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 16 minutes Retumbante FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joakim Abrahamsson who took care of the corner kick. Eurico Galvão tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Apat Reina. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 16th minute. After 19 played minutes Retumbante FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Cearense. In the 23rd minute Belmiro Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apat Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauã Mandrak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Axel Vennerkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Retumbante FC's José Paulo Mendonça ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Axel Vennerkvist. Axel Vennerkvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Apat Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Kauã Mandrak was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Retumbante FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Retumbante FC's Kauã Mandrak, in the 39th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Retumbante FC. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Axel Vennerkvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Axel Vennerkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kauã Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 54th minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Axel Vennerkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Retumbante FC's Kauã Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Axel Vennerkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Paulo Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 3-1 when José Paulo Mendonça sped through Academia Santista CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Axel Vennerkvist. If Kauã Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Galvão came free, but Axel Vennerkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Retumbante FC had won after a very even match.
