The crowd rose to their feet as Sport Club Mavericks's Virgílio Bastos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cacá Sousa. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aníbal de Sena hit a great ball. Cacá Sousa came out of the goal and Oscar Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sport Club Mavericks's Jhonatan Calleri was substituted for Nelson Mandrak. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romário Senadović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Amadeu Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87thth minute of the game Diego Armando Orange who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sport Club Mavericks's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
