Arnaldo Mattos hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Chiquinho do Nascimento was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Chico Paraibano. After a rather tough play, Primatas FC's Dé Toscano got a free kick in the 13th minute. Cancelo Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Gil Meira hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Mazinho Cabral made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Silvério Pires immediately put the ball in play. MUSHIBA FC's Benê da Costa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mazinho Cabral, made in the 30th minute of the game. Gil Meira's late challenge caught a Primatas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gil Meira helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes MUSHIBA FC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Meira. MUSHIBA FC's Chiquinho do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save MUSHIBA FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gilmar Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Primatas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lúcio Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th minute, Mazinho Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, MUSHIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Maranhense came free, but Chiquinho do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Primatas FC booed when MUSHIBA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubens Alcântara in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chiquinho do Nascimento saved MUSHIBA FC from getting behind. A collision led to MUSHIBA FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Daniel Coutinho hit a great ball. Lúcio Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Chiquinho do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primatas FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
