An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Branco in the 10th minute of play forced Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper Bebeto Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Queirós. Joaquim Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Branco struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Bebeto Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. When Joaquim Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Joaquim Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grêmio RK75 booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by SORRISO E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mário Sérgio was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio RK75's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Adhemar Sabóia heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 33rd minute, Joaquim Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Bebeto Paranaense. Grêmio RK75's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cássio Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bebeto Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Faria in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Grêmio RK75 booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Grêmio RK75 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mário Sérgio hit a great ball. Edvaldo Leal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diego Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Costa was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s Júlio Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bebeto Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Júlio Faria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bebeto Paranaense. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. Júlio Faria took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto Paranaense. Bebeto Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Bebeto Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Branco came free, but Bebeto Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Diego Costa came free, but Edvaldo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Amorim. Mário Sérgio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Leal having to interfere. Diego Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Benjamin de Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin de Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Grêmio RK75's Benjamin de Barros got a free kick in the 83rd minute. SORRISO E. C.'s Vítor Sousa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bebeto Paranaense but with some difficulty. Joaquim Queirós had several of the Grêmio RK75's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Bebeto Paranaense as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mário Sérgio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvaldo Leal having to make a save. In the 93rd minute of the match Grêmio RK75 got a corner. SORRISO E. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mário Sérgio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Wilson Duarte heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the final whistle sounded SORRISO E. C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grêmio RK75.
