Édouard Mendy was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Júlio Faria showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. C.'s Edvaldo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Dionísio in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Agostinho Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abel Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Al-Fajuth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Vidal couldn't finish the play. SORRISO E. C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
