The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maicon Zanette, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Grêmio RK75 were awarded a corner. Mário Sérgio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Al-Fajuth's goalie and right to Adhemar Sabóia. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Al-Fajuth's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 31st minute, Ciro Meireles fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bebeto Paranaense was a little too slow when Jefferson Maia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 41st match minute, Al-Fajuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Brunovskis to maneuver through the defense. Eliseu Alagoano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bebeto Paranaense came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseu Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseu Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. Eliseu Alagoano scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bebeto Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bebeto Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano in the 56th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Adhemar Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio RK75 and the Al-Fajuth players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Grêmio RK75 getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Adhemar Sabóia hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Célio Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Jeferson Toscano got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Grêmio RK75's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Alagoano came free, but Bebeto Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Al-Fajuth's Sidnei Dionísio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Édouard Mendy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Costa in the 85th minute. Bebeto Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Al-Fajuth's Sidnei Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebeto Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Bebeto Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Maia in the 95th minute of the match. Sidnei Dionísio charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Dionísio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There was no doubt that Al-Fajuth were the better team. Al-Fajuth's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
