A collision led to Grêmio RK75 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Wilson Duarte hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the game, Júlio Faria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bebeto Paranaense. Júlio Faria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With his leg Bebeto Paranaense managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when SORRISO E. C.'s Joaquim Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Joaquim Queirós sped through Grêmio RK75's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bebeto Paranaense. Diego Costa's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Costa helped the player get up and apologised. Diego Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. SORRISO E. C.'s Edvaldo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Ferreira in the 35th minute of play. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Diego Costa came free, but Edvaldo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Queirós to make the kick off. Edvaldo Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Costa in the 50th minute of play. The referee showed Joaquim Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Queirós hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Bebeto Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. C.'s Artur Branco got a free kick in the 86th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SORRISO E. C. had played much better football throughout.
