Robinho de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Dionísio in the 3rd minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Brasiliense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Reis to maneuver through the defense. SE Palmeiras's Robinho de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Baiano in the 24th minute of play. Robinho de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Carneiro in the 26th minute of the match. Robinho de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amílton Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Robinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Abelardo Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SE Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Abelardo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the SE Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. After 39 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Vieira. If Celsinho Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Gerber struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Clemente Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palmeiras. Silvério Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After 49 minutes, Lúcio Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasiliense FC and the SE Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lúcio Furtado hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. Edson Chaves's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Clemente Lopez firmly grabbed it by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Reis made a kick off. Christiano Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ruy Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the SE Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. Ricardinho Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Lopez having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Silvério Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Brasiliense FC's Robinho de Sena threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Baiano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. SE Palmeiras's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
