Luiz Gustavo Leão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised João Fernandez 37 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Gustavo Leão in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Fernandez saved Capivara FC from getting behind. William Coutos short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got João Fernandez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Claudinho Souto's late challenge caught a Irreal Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho Souto helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Gustavo Leão was the one to do the kick off. Irreal Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Mineiro was a little too slow when Betão Pinheiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 2-2. 73 minutes into the match, Capivara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Leão came free, but João Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Betão Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the game, Nuno Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capivara FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Gustavo Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
