With a left leg Nilton dos Santos saved Botafogo AP from getting behind. Nilton dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Irreal Madrid's Luiz Gustavo Leão in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nilton dos Santos came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Botafogo AP's Nilton dos Santos got control of the ball when William Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line.
