In the 17th minute, Dé Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Queiroz. Várzea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gilson Neves hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Chiquinho Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Queiroz was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Campidelis came free, but Reinaldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Várzea F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinaldo Queiroz should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Sergipano came free, but Reinaldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Sá to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro Mandrak to make the kick off. Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Reinaldo Queiroz was a little too slow when Chiquinho Sergipano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 59th minute Chiquinho Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romário Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Queiroz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mestre GG's Oswaldo Dracena got a free kick in the 64th minute. Mestre GG's Raúl de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Rosado in the 69th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. Luiz Guilherme Barreto replaced Alessandro Mandrak. After 71 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Sá. In the 71st minute of the match Gilson Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raúl de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. Reinaldo Queiroz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romário Seco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. Várzea F.C.'s Reinaldo Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Várzea F.C. from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Mestre GG getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Reynaldo Baiano hit a great ball. Mestre GG's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
