Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chiquinho Sergipano kicked off to start the match. Serginho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Sergipano in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mestre GG's Zeca Donatello got a free kick in the 4th minute. MINEIROS's Wenceslao Taffarel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mestre GG. Juan Zanette hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Serginho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Sergipano in the 12th minute of play. Serginho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Wenceslao Taffarel got a free kick in the 16th minute. Serginho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Seco in the 17th minute of play. Gildo Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Romário Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Soares's late challenge caught a MINEIROS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Soares helped the player get up and apologised. Raúl de Amaral had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Wenceslao Taffarel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Albuquerque stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Sergipano in the 51st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Toninho Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raúl de Amaral was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Raúl de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. João Vítor Linhares hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. MINEIROS's Vágner Gaspar was substituted for Juan Zanette. After 69 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Linhares. Mestre GG's Raúl de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Quadros in the 72nd minute of play. Raúl de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes Mestre GG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wenceslao Taffarel who took care of the corner kick. In the 87th minute, MINEIROS's João Vítor Linhares seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed João Vítor Linhares the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MINEIROS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and João Vítor Linhares had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of MINEIROS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mestre GG:s goal. MINEIROS:s Serginho Taffarel showed great skill when he stopped Tiago Matorin:s penalty. In the 92nd minute Hugo Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vágner Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 97 minutes of play, Mestre GG's Fiori Campidelis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Mestre GG left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MINEIROS.
