LauerArmy's Mazinho Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Mandrak in the 4th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Dionísio was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Rogério Loureiro's late challenge caught a LauerArmy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogério Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LauerArmy booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Rosado hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mazinho Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Rosado in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christiano Fontes during the 29th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Freitas was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes, LauerArmy's Christiano Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reinaldo Queiroz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LauerArmy reached it. The supporters of LauerArmy booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Renato Valladares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reinaldo Queiroz. Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, LauerArmy's Hélder dos Santos got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Rodriguez in the 66th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Reinaldo Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Mandrak. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alessandro Mandrak hit a great ball. Erik Freitas scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reinaldo Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when James Rodriguez came free, but Reinaldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, James Rodriguez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
