Elano Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeu Negri's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Amadeu Negri in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chicão Peixoto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luisinho Trancoso hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Maicon Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Amadeu Negri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chicão Peixoto. The goal made the score 2-0. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Paulo Renato Trevisan hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Maicon Prata sped through S.C. Reis United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Paulo Urbano. After a defensive mix-up in Gato Preto FC's zone, Amadeu Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Peixoto came out of the goal and Amadeu Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gato Preto FC's Maicon Prata got a free kick in the 36th minute. Luisinho Trancoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chicão Peixoto. Gato Preto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Gato Preto FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.C. Reis United:s goal. The referee gave S.C. Reis United a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luisinho Trancoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto. 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maicon Prata was the one to do the kick off. Gato Preto FC's Maicon Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Luisinho Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes, S.C. Reis United's Reynaldo Siqueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chicão Peixoto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.C. Reis United reached it. After 60 minutes, Robinho de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gato Preto FC and the S.C. Reis United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gato Preto FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Robinho de Medeiros hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Natanael Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Paulo Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Prata in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74thth minute of the game Elano Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 75 played minutes Gato Preto FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Moreira. Amadeu Negri might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeu Negri ran back to his position shaking his head. Clóvis Nunes struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Chicão Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Reis United. Maicon Prata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Paulo Urbano made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Bernardinho de Senna sent off a good shot on target. Chicão Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Robinho de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match Luisinho Trancoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chicão Peixoto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the S.C. Reis United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
