Luiz Leite was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.C. Reis United! S.C. Reis United:s João Paulo Urbano showed great skill when he stopped Remo Falcão:s penalty. 10 minutes into the game, Amadeu Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Reis United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrenta SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, S.C. Reis United's Amadeu Negri got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Remo Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Reis United the free kick. In the 12th minute, Remo Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Negri scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel Varela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barrenta SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabinho Pereira 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 21st match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Varela having to interfere. Angelo Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Fabinho Pereira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jardel Varela, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Fabinho Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Varela came out of the goal and Fabinho Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elano Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Remo Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Eduardo Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabinho Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jardel Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remo Falcão was the one to do the kick off. When Fabinho Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the S.C. Reis United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho Pereira couldn't finish the play. Jardel Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jardel Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Gaspar in the 64th minute of play. Paulo Renato Trevisan's late challenge caught a Barrenta SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Renato Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Reis United's zone, Hernani Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal and Hernani Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, S.C. Reis United's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Cabral came free, but João Paulo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernani Couto struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. João Paulo Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrenta SC. If Hernani Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Amadeu Negri sped through Barrenta SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jardel Varela. Eduardo Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Paulo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Couto in the 88th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Fabinho Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Jardel Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute Eduardo Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Couto to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. S.C. Reis United had won after a very even match.
