Elano Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 5th minute Gato Preto FC were awarded a corner. Diguinho Vasconcelos went to the cornerflag to take it. Chicão Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Pereira in the 6th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodriguinho Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rodriguinho Reis came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the S.C. Reis United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Reis couldn't finish the play. Abel Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Robinho de Medeiros hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes, S.C. Reis United's Amadeu Negri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chicão Peixoto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.C. Reis United reached it. Maicon Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Urbano having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Rodriguinho Reis made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Chicão Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodriguinho Reis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Gato Preto FC's Caco da Costa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Rodriguinho Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

53 minutes into the match, Gato Preto FC's Maicon Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Paulo Urbano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gato Preto FC's Bernardinho de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodriguinho Reis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Chicão Peixoto came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodriguinho Reis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 56th minute. The supporters of S.C. Reis United booed when Gato Preto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Rodriguinho Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodriguinho Reis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Chicão Peixoto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Fabinho Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Rodriguinho Reis took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Chicão Peixoto to make any attempt to save it. After 74 minutes, Bernardinho de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gato Preto FC and the S.C. Reis United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gato Preto FC's Bernardinho de Senna got a free kick in the 75th minute. Bernardinho de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguinho Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodriguinho Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardinho de Senna got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Gato Preto FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bernardinho de Senna hit a great ball. S.C. Reis United's Fabinho Pereira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Chicão Peixoto but with some difficulty. Rodriguinho Reis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chicão Peixoto firmly grabbed it by the left post. 94 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Reis notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto. Chicão Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
