The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sérgio Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute Perivaldo Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Christiano Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caio Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Nelsinho Marinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Caio Ferreira. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Anísio Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ademir de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qjos MiLLano's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademir de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Pras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Nelsinho Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Pras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Urbano in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Perivaldo Carneiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Caio Ferreira. That made the score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 30th minute, Nelsinho Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arí Vaz during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nelsinho Marinho scored 4-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caio Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Marinho in the 37th minute of play. Caio Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Ronaldo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palestra do Interior's Fernando Pras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir de Barros in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho Marinho made a kick off. Caio Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Palmeira in the 52nd minute of the match. Caio Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Carneiro in the 56th minute of play. After some careless play in the Qjos MiLLano defense, Doni Pimenta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio Ferreira. The Qjos MiLLano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio Ferreira should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Nelsinho Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Dinei Brito replaced Ronaldo Pirani. In the 69th minute, Perivaldo Carneiro made a precise shot to the right of Caio Ferreira. Qjos MiLLano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Caio Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Caio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Carneiro in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Doni Pimenta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palestra do Interior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. André Munhoz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caio Ferreira. Qjos MiLLano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 91stth minute of the game Nelsinho Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Qjos MiLLano's Caio Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Munhoz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Zé Rafael kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Palestra do Interior players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
