The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Azevedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Paulo Renato Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo Vargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Azevedo was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Dudu Queiroz hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Pinheiro got free with Lauro Varela in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the game, Juvenal Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UPTEXTIL.COM the free kick. After 22 minutes, Alexandre Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UPTEXTIL.COM and the Nova Iguaçu MZFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexandre Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Oscar Azevedo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas. But to his dismay, Agnaldo Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 26th match minute, UPTEXTIL.COM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Barros to maneuver through the defense. Agnaldo Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Azevedo having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Dinei Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UPTEXTIL.COM and the Nova Iguaçu MZFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when UPTEXTIL.COM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Barros in the 33rd minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Jeremias Pinheiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Lauro Varela however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Lauro Varela got control of the ball when Jeremias Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Agnaldo Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Oscar Azevedo made a huge save. Oscar Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Vidal in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, UPTEXTIL.COM's Dinei Proença got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 59th minute Wilson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Azevedo came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas. But to his dismay, Agnaldo Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lauro Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Pinheiro went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute Thiago Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute Paulo Renato Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dudu Queiroz in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agnaldo Vargas in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Azevedo saved UPTEXTIL.COM from getting behind. The UPTEXTIL.COM supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nova Iguaçu MZFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nova Iguaçu MZFC.
