Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vivaldo Munhoz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Vivaldo Munhoz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Trigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Vivaldo Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Goblins F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos de Andrade. Edmílson Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Arnaldo de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Carvalho in the 21st minute of the match. Luciano Prado hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when A.A. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilvan Paes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Cido Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.A. Francana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Munhoz in the 36th minute of play. After 36 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Brito. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Vivaldo Munhoz took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Telmo Trigo to make any attempt to save it. When Ruy Fantini fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A. Francana's protests and gave Ruy Fantini a yellow card for diving instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Munhoz in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ruy Fantini hit a great ball. Edmílson Brito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnaldo de Carvalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmílson Brito slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 62nd minute. Telmo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Munhoz came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnaldo de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Santos. After a rather tough play, Goblins F.C.'s Kaká Borges got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 84 minutes of play Goblins F.C.'s Agostinho Borges was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 85th match minute, Goblins F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the game, Vivaldo Munhoz landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Válbson Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Válbson Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.A. Francana! Telmo Trigo went to the wrong direction when Luís Guilherme da Silva was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Goblins F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
