The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nas Horas Vagas F.C the free kick. In the 13th match minute, A.D.PADRE MIGUEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Souza to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the game, A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's André Luís Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Augusto Barbosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Lúcio Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vânderson Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 played minutes Nas Horas Vagas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Barbosa. In the 40th minute Conrado Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lúcio Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nelson Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nas Horas Vagas F.C's protests and gave Nelson Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. Nelson Dantas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Sidney Favoretto got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Eduardo Martins came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the A.D.PADRE MIGUEL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Martins couldn't finish the play. João Augusto Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Souza went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Victor Souza scored 4-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Augusto Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luís Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nas Horas Vagas F.C getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Narciso Barbosa hit a great ball. Manfredo Palmeira was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 76th minute, Manfredo Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to A.D.PADRE MIGUEL getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Victor Souza hit a great ball. Vânderson Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Conrado Camargo sent off a good shot on target. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's Lúcio Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lauro Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Augusto Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Camargo came free, but Vânderson Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Souza came free, but João Augusto Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lúcio Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Cardoso having to interfere. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because A.D.PADRE MIGUEL had won, even though Nas Horas Vagas F.C had held more of the ball.
