Juarês Teixeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wellington Barbosa. Vasco FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Denílson Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wellington Phoenix the free kick. Denílson Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Wellington Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Linhares in the 68th minute of the match.
