Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuele Di Biagio started the match with the kick off. Seggiano were furious when Christian Sartori was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 3 played minutes Seggiano got a freekick which was hit by Christian Sartori. Seggiano's Dennis Carosella was substituted for Domenico Galli. The supporters of XMAS booed when Seggiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sartori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Barillari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlo Colaneri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Zaccardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Emanuele Di Biagio might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Polidori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuele Di Biagio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute Emanuele Di Biagio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Polidori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match Seggiano got a corner. XMAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Federico Lauri ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Seggiano's Federico Lauri got a free kick in the 41st minute. Armando Polidori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Di Biagio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Minichiello to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuele Di Biagio in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Polidori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Seggiano getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Emanuele Di Biagio hit a great ball. If Alessio Ascoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Fulvio Rava mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seggiano and the XMAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. XMAS's Eugenio Casiraghi was substituted for Alessio Ascoli. 67 minutes into the match, Seggiano's Emanuele Di Biagio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Polidori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elia Coccia kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Emanuele Di Biagio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Polidori was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. When Emanuele Di Biagio came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Seggiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Di Biagio couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes XMAS got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Aversano. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Emanuele Di Biagio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seggiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuele Di Biagio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Polidori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emanuele Di Biagio fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seggiano's protests and gave Emanuele Di Biagio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Di Biagio to maneuver through the defense. Emanuele Di Biagio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Polidori having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuele Di Biagio. Arrigo Saturno hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Seggiano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
