Navigatii Bacău's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Remus Zăraşcu in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Șerban Zegreanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 9th minute of play forced Navigatii Bacău's goalkeeper Florin Niță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Macamete in the 11th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Șerban Zegreanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Germano. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 17th minute Șerban Zegreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radu Dragușin kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Pedro Rojelio got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute of the match, Eric Şneapotă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlos Germano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edgard Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Niță having to interfere. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Navigatii Bacău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Şneapotă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Navigatii Bacău's Florin Niță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Barros in the 37th minute of play. Edgard Barros's late challenge caught a Navigatii Bacău's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Edgard Barros hit a great ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Şneapotă in the 43rd minute of play. Florin Niță came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Atlanta's Pedro Rojelio. But to his dismay, Pedro Rojelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Șerban Zegreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudiu Manolescu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Teobaldo Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Florin Niță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Rotariu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Florin Niță successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Florin Niță was a little too slow when Eustaquio Jaizki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-3. 69 minutes into the match, Navigatii Bacău's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Jaizki came free, but Florin Niță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florin Niță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Milian in the 72nd minute. Vali Moșanu's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Navigatii Bacău's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Edgard Barros scored to the left of an out of position Florin Niță, making the score, 1-5. After some careless play in the Navigatii Bacău defense, Edgard Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florin Niță. The Navigatii Bacău fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florin Niță should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute Eustaquio Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Niță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
