The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessio Cancemi got free with Claudio Allegretti in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Benevento's Alessio Cancemi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudio Allegretti. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. When Federico Piacente came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Atletico Benevento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Piacente couldn't finish the play. Alessio Cancemi took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Allegretti. Claudio Allegretti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Claudio Allegretti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessio Cancemi in the 18th minute. Angelo Tarantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Claudio Allegretti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Alfredo Campo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Campo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franco Bottega lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Atletico Benevento booed when Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Bottega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Piacente struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Claudio Allegretti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Benevento. Claudio Allegretti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Cancemi in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atletico Benevento's Amerigo Astolfi got a free kick in the 37th minute. Christian Bulla was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Claudio Allegretti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristoforo Arpaia in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Tarantini made a kick off. Claudio Allegretti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Cancemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Atletico Benevento booed when Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Campo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosimo Scurti kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Atletico Benevento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Sessa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Guerriero in the 77th minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Claudio Allegretti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Tarantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Guerriero in the 81st minute of play forced Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's goalkeeper Claudio Allegretti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
