The Navigatii Bacău fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Navigatii Bacău's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Piacente came free, but Grigore Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Navigatii Bacău's Grigore Ozon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Cancemi in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atletico Benevento defense, Iosif Macamete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonso Donato. The Atletico Benevento fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Donato should have stopped the shot. In the 12th match minute, Navigatii Bacău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Manolescu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Piacente in the 15th minute of play forced Navigatii Bacău's goalkeeper Grigore Ozon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Șerban Zegreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudiu Manolescu got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Alfonso Donato handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Grigore Ozon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Piacente in the 29th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Navigatii Bacău:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atletico Benevento:s goal. The referee gave Atletico Benevento a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Piacente, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Navigatii Bacău's Grigore Ozon. 4-2. 39 minutes into the match, Navigatii Bacău's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Piacente came free, but Grigore Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Eric Şneapotă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Donato. Atletico Benevento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Şneapotă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. After 45 played minutes Navigatii Bacău got a freekick which was hit by Eric Şneapotă. The supporters of Navigatii Bacău booed when Atletico Benevento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Ciccone didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Alfonso Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Manolescu in the 57th minute of play. Grigore Ozon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessio Cancemi's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the game, Navigatii Bacău's Claudiu Manolescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Donato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Piacente got free with Grigore Ozon in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Claudiu Manolescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grigore Ozon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Federico Piacente showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-4 in the 78 minute of play. In the 81st minute Angelo Tarantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Ozon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Navigatii Bacău's goalkeeper Grigore Ozon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessio Cancemi. Claudiu Manolescu's late challenge caught a Atletico Benevento's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudiu Manolescu helped the player get up and apologised.
