A sloppy throw-in by Adriano Di Marco in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Aris Salonicco FC's Tomasz Kaznocha. Cesate's Bruno Carciofo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Di Fabrizio in the 5th minute of play. A hard shot 10 in the game by Giampaolo Pazzini from a close distance when the talented Bruno Carciofo managed to make a qualified save. Cesate's players were relieved. Bruno Carciofo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Giampaolo Pazzini sent off a good shot on target. Fulvio Campese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Manzoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Santoro charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Santoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cesate getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Donato Santoro hit a great ball. Bruno Carciofo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Di Fabrizio in the 22nd minute. Bruno Carciofo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giampaolo Pazzini went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Elia Di Cintio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, one of Cesate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cesate. The goalkeeper, Bruno Carciofo, was totally fooled by Aris Salonicco FC's Marius Ichimescu, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Claudio Manzoni struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fulvio Campese didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cesate. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Cardano in the 43rd minute of play forced Cesate's goalkeeper Bruno Carciofo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giampaolo Pazzini made a kick off. Bruno Carciofo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Cardano in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Cardano in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Carciofo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giampaolo Pazzini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Federico Cardano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bruno Carciofo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Adriano Di Marco got a free kick in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giampaolo Pazzini in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Carciofo saved Cesate from getting behind. The supporters of Aris Salonicco FC booed when Cesate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Manzoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Aris Salonicco FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ferruccio Di Fabrizio hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Frank Magliocco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes of play, Aris Salonicco FC's Giampaolo Pazzini made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Carciofo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giampaolo Pazzini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Carciofo having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Federico Cardano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulvio Campese made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Manzoni in the 93rd minute. Cesate's Bruno Carciofo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giampaolo Pazzini in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aris Salonicco FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cesate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
