Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Guido Vissenaeken got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Brugge United were awarded a corner. Jaspar Van Den Broeck went to the cornerflag to take it. Dacian Hrean was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 7 minutes into the match, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Bautmans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Guido Vissenaeken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Guido Vissenaeken notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Bredene's Peter Bautmans. Peter Bautmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Bautmans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Vissenaeken went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. FC Bredene's Peter Bautmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 20th minute of play. Ümit Karan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Vissenaeken in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Bautmans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 27 minutes, Guido Vissenaeken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brugge United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Vissenaeken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Vissenaeken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bredene's zone, Guido Vissenaeken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Bautmans came out of the goal and Guido Vissenaeken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Bredene's goalkeeper Peter Bautmans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Johnny Van Den Wijngaert in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brugge United's Jaspar Van Den Broeck. The audience was convinced that Guido Vissenaeken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Bautmans was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Otto Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Otto Fenomeno to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Jaspar Van Den Broeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Bredene getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Johnny Van Den Wijngaert hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 61st minute of play forced FC Bredene's goalkeeper Peter Bautmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 64 minutes on the clock, Costel Runcu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Bredene! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Vissenaeken in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Bautmans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Bredene's Pieter-Maarten Vaes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Bautmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waud Huijbrechts in the 89th minute of the match. Peter Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 94th minute of play. If Mai Si Liang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Brugge United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
