Marciano Marino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Csongor Csorba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute of the match Szajk LC got a corner. Várdomb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lajos Józsa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lajos Józsa made a great header on Szajk LC's corner, it was just that Várdomb's Marciano Marino managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when József Nyitrai put in a rough tackle. Siniša Mihajlović replaced Zénó Polgár. Szajk LC's Levente Makkai was substituted for Csongor Csorba. In the 68th minute, Szajk LC's Levente Makkai dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Várdomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gergely Zornánszky didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Várdomb's goal looked a bit too open when Levente Makkai came free, but Marciano Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marciano Marino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Levente Makkai in the 92nd minute.
