After a defensive mix-up in Szolnoki MÁV's zone, Brett Dingle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mátyás Lisztes came out of the goal and Brett Dingle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40th play minutes Benji Corby shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Mátyás Lisztes and just under the crossbar into goal. Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benji Corby in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Szolnoki MÁV defense, Benji Corby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mátyás Lisztes. The Szolnoki MÁV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mátyás Lisztes should have stopped the shot. Mátyás Lisztes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benji Corby, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.
