The tension between the Forever Tango and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Beltran in the 3rd minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 minutes of play, Independiente's Isidoro Beltran made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Giraldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo got control of the ball when Sören Bengtsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pepe Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Raúl Amuchástegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Beltran in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Florentino Inge got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juan Giraldo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sören Bengtsson got free with Juan Giraldo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Forever Tango's Sixto Gaxan got a free kick in the 25th minute. Juan Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Bengtsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Marcones in the 28th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Mendez in the 29th minute of play. Sören Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Juan Giraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pepe Santoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Marcones in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Forever Tango were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Marcones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Bertol in the 50th minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Beltran scored 3-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Giraldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Forever Tango made a substitution. Elias Manilan replaced Juan Raúl Amuchástegui. 74 minutes into the game, Sixto Gaxan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forever Tango's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. Sixto Gaxan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Forever Tango got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Gaxan. In the 79th minute, Sören Bengtsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Giraldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 82 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goal looked a bit too open when Sören Bengtsson came free, but Juan Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ximenes Castilla in the 83rd minute of play forced Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Giraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximenes Castilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Independiente.
