The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Burni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selatse Cantillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Gabriel Silban didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Oylimpiamos Ψ's goalkeeper Koen Rijmenams had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Ixaka. Ezequiel Ixaka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Koen Rijmenams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Fortun Corrillos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Burni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Peruanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortun Corrillos in the 23rd minute of play forced Berserkers FC Ψ's goalkeeper Marcos Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Cordario Pierredonda in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Berserkers FC Ψ's Adeng Gustav. When Bartolo Bachicabo fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oylimpiamos Ψ's protests and gave Bartolo Bachicabo a yellow card for diving instead. Bartolo Bachicabo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Olliver Van Meirhaeghe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Ignacio Circelli to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Berserkers FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Peruanton came free, but Marcos Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Juan Ignacio Circelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berserkers FC Ψ's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Ignacio Circelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Koen Rijmenams breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berserkers FC Ψ's Cipriano Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Gregory Neila was substituted for Robustiano Peruanton. After some careless play in the Berserkers FC Ψ defense, Bartolo Bachicabo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Burni. The Berserkers FC Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Burni should have stopped the shot. Koen Rijmenams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Munhoz in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Neila in the 92nd minute of play forced Berserkers FC Ψ's goalkeeper Marcos Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute of the game Nestor Ondino made a throw-in which Severino Blanco played forward. 95 minutes into the match, Oylimpiamos Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Munhoz came free, but Koen Rijmenams reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rik Quexada took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Burni. Berserkers FC Ψ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Berserkers FC Ψ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
