Sebastián Junes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Bâru in the 16th minute of play. Nestor Bâru took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastián Junes. Sebastián Junes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jacinto Abaunza charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Abaunza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jacinto Abaunza hit a great ball. If Nestor Bâru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Bâru came free, but Sebastián Junes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastián Junes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Bâru in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Lugo in the 35th minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Jonatan Eguzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Aldo Quintin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidoro Lugo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Nicolas Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Eguzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Eguzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Goorts in the 56th minute of play. Bernd Goorts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Dionisio Barea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celtic FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unidad de Matanza the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Celtic FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Unidad de Matanza:s goal. Jonatan Eguzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sebastián Junes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Kirchner, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The corner led Unidad de Matanza's Michal Stehno to fire away a dangerous shot which Sebastián Junes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Michal Stehno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celtic FC's Sebastián Junes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastián Junes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máximo Kirchner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastián Junes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Kirchner in the 84th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Máximo Kirchner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastián Junes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máximo Kirchner in the 94th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Junes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Celtic FC defense, Martin Grøtterud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastián Junes. The Celtic FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastián Junes should have stopped the shot. The Celtic FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Unidad de Matanza's performance. The match ended with a win for Unidad de Matanza.
