Tomas Lain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvīns van der Sar having to interfere. A collision led to FC Alytus United getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Vilmer Röd hit a great ball. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Harsh Gods's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jarūnas Kuliešius was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Alytus United's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daavid Šembera got free with Gersi Snabe in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Alytus United booed when Harsh Gods was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriele Meilutyte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gersi Snabe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gersi Snabe saved Harsh Gods from getting behind. In the 73rd minute Jogaila Makauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvīns van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gabriele Meilutyte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harsh Gods's Gersi Snabe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romualdas Motiekaitis in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Ali Numan Afak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvīns van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
