Bengt-Arne Askstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Bilicki in the 3rd minute of play. In the 10th minute Edwin Grabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Romanescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Arne Askstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltos Kotsovolos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Kotsovolos came free, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Pegasas Siauliai's Pavel Romanescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pegasas Siauliai from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute Miltos Kotsovolos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miltos Kotsovolos in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Arne Askstedt saved Savage Hippo from getting behind. Bengt-Arne Askstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Quiroga in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Pavel Romanescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Grabert. Pavel Romanescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwin Grabert's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After 54 played minutes Savage Hippo got a freekick which was hit by Vilmantas Magdišauskas. In the 55th minute of the match Miromir Bilicki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miltos Kotsovolos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute of the match, Miromir Bilicki got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 67 minutes into the game, Savage Hippo's Edwin Grabert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pavel Romanescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Shaun Lucas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Pegasas Siauliai! Pavel Romanescu had in the 73rdth minute some difficulties stopping Eddie Bjurström's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Orestas Mineikis hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Pavel Romanescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edwin Grabert went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 84 minutes, Edwin Grabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savage Hippo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Grabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, FC Pegasas Siauliai's goal looked a bit too open when Vakaris Daujotas came free, but Pavel Romanescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pegasas Siauliai's zone, Edwin Grabert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Romanescu came out of the goal and Edwin Grabert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Savage Hippo were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after FC Pegasas Siauliai's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eddie Bjurström took the corner. In the 94th minute, Edwin Grabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pavel Romanescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. FC Pegasas Siauliai's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
