The supporters of Lithuanian amber booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Chludzinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robertas Sabaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Lindström in the 14th minute of play. Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute of the match Absoliut got a corner. Lithuanian amber's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Algitas Dubauskas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vilmantas Kalinauskas made a great header on Absoliut's corner, it was just that Lithuanian amber's Damazy Mitus managed to reach the ball for a save. Robertas Sabaitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saulius Mikalajūnas in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Absoliut's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Ortle came free, but Robertas Sabaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Robertas Sabaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Ortle in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Lithuanian amber defense, Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damazy Mitus. The Lithuanian amber fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damazy Mitus should have stopped the shot. Absoliut's Vygandas Jančiauskas was substituted for Tymoteusz Chludzinski. 79 minutes into the match, Lithuanian amber's goal looked a bit too open when Vygandas Jančiauskas came free, but Damazy Mitus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Absoliut's Cui Qing to fire away a dangerous shot which Damazy Mitus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Mustafa Hakan Tosunoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damazy Mitus was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Robertas Sabaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Ortle, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
