Vinnie Small was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dennis Bibby showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in  ☆冰谷☆Manchester United's zone, Marc Van Der Hoorn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Beevers came out of the goal and Marc Van Der Hoorn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Don Beckett came free, but Vinnie Small reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Chip Preece fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clapham Comets F.C.'s protests and gave Chip Preece a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Chip Preece got a free kick in the 66th minute. Rob Halliwell, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal.
