The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Wilberforce showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Martyn Lawson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sebastian Cross didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sean Moxon went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute, Stickleback Utd Xl's Doug Kerfoot dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Conan Wiseman's late challenge caught a Stickleback Utd Xl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conan Wiseman helped the player get up and apologised. Conan Wiseman kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Vinnie Harrison kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sebastian Cross proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Clapham Comets F.C. from getting a goal against them. Syd Kalischer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sebastian Cross made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Sean Moxon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastian Cross. That made the score 3-0 in the 37 minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Sebastian Cross had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Syd Kalischer. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Ackland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martyn Lawson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Christian Wilberforce made a huge save. Christian Wilberforce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayden Hartley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Moxon in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Stickleback Utd Xl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syd Kalischer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Calvin Bourton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the game, Stickleback Utd Xl's Syd Kalischer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Cross made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Ackland in the 93rd minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Sebastian Cross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes Stickleback Utd Xl got a freekick which was hit by Matty Woodman. Sebastian Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Hopkinson in the 98th minute of play.
