Argyris Zagorakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgio March having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Pol Petton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kıvanç Yücesan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Abascal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Kıvanç Yücesan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The SC Pfullendorf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kıvanç Yücesan should have stopped the shot. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
