Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 23rd minute of play. Lance Fairfax kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. José Luis Gayà hit a great ball. If Pol Petton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Lodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saul Roman. 40 minutes into the game, C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Saul Roman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerry Lodge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Joe Herring took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giorgio March. Giorgio March dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Del Piero to strike the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Del Piero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 63rd minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Alessandro Del Piero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 made a substitution. Christian Almkvist replaced Alessandro Del Piero. If Joe Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Joe Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio March saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Almkvist in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerry Lodge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Almkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
