In the 32nd match minute, Matos Velhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Meng Di Jun came free, but Mike van Kampen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Gentil made a kick off. Sabino Vilhena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Marin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meng Di Jun in the 57th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike van Kampen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from You in the 60th minute of the match. Miguel Marin made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Heigo Luiga sent off a good shot on target. Isac Bomba hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Sabino Vilhena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Sabino Vilhena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Miguel Marin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mike van Kampen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meng Di Jun in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Dezassete booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Dezassete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Meng Di Jun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meng Di Jun in the 92nd minute of play. Meng Di Jun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike van Kampen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Mike van Kampen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meng Di Jun in the 96th minute of play. The FC Dezassete players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
