Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gonzalo Lixandro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Gonzalo Lixandro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mike van Kampen. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Israel Carvalhal got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Faria came free, but Mike van Kampen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jiang Qing Lin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 19th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Júlio Gentil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike van Kampen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Lixandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Vilhena in the 26th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Fagundes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Matos Velhos from getting a goal against them. Heigo Luiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Qiu Chuan Ran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Heigo Luiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Rodolfo Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike van Kampen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Gentil to strike the kick off in the second half. Kaspar Bruns hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of Matos Velhos booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Carvalhal didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Ventura in the 55th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qiu Chuan Ran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adalberto Peres in the 57th minute. Mike van Kampen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Ventura in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Matos Velhos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kaspar Bruns was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Rodolfo Faria to fire away a dangerous shot which Mike van Kampen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The corner ended in Witold Piszczor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen did a great save. In the 67th match minute, Matos Velhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Meira to maneuver through the defense. Durval Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Kaspar Bruns's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike van Kampen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Böcklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike van Kampen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Ventura in the 79th minute of play. Gonzalo Lixandro took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike van Kampen. Mike van Kampen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jiang Qing Lin kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Qiu Chuan Ran made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Heigo Luiga sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Raimundo Ventura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 96 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Ventura came free, but Mike van Kampen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Ventura in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were the better team. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
