The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Candal got free with Carles Olle in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carles Olle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heigo Luiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Jacobo Venerando made a precise shot to the right of Mike van Kampen. Matos Velhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Vilhena in the 14th minute of play forced Madvik FC's goalkeeper Carles Olle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike van Kampen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Galvão in the 19th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Madvik FC's goalkeeper Carles Olle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute Jacobo Venerando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike van Kampen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Madvik FC fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Madvik FC's Jacobo Venerando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 47 minutes into the game, Jacobo Venerando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Matos Velhos's zone, Lucílio Vilanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike van Kampen came out of the goal and Lucílio Vilanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matos Velhos's Karl Nietlisbach was substituted for Henrique Candal. Mike van Kampen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucílio Vilanova in the 75th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Lisandro Vigil with Adalberto Peres as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 84 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goal looked a bit too open when Lucílio Vilanova came free, but Mike van Kampen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match Madvik FC got a corner. Matos Velhos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Teves ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Adelino Galvão heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mike van Kampen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Madvik FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
